It's Twosies!!

Yep. I'm pregnant again. And it's twins. :) They're due Christmas day, but we don't expect me to make it that far, so it'll probably be closer to Thanksgiving. I'm only 10 weeks along, so I wouldn't normally we telling yet, but I'm so stinkin sick that my mom has graciously moved from her home near DC to our house to take care of me and our 3 monkeys. I'm hooked to a Zofran pump (it's antinausea medicine) and still taking other meds to help with the hyperemisis, too. I'll probably be like this (I'm basicly on bedrest and I've still lost about 9 lbs so far) till about October. So you might not hear much from me for a while. Just thought I'd let you know. Also, to any of my girlfriends who have twins, any websites, groups, etc... that you found helpful, send my way! Because eventually I'm going to get beyond needing to focus on just breathing and I'll be able to digest the fact that I'll be the mother of TWINS! Ok, so love you!

Yes, lots and lots of breathing!
Mostly through your mouth!
I had a pretty bad case of hyperemesis, but I hear it's so much worse with twins so I can't even imagine. Just know that I have been there, and can come pretty close to knowing exactly what you're going through.
I'm here if you need me, for anything girl!
MUAH!!!

ps- on my really bad days the doc told me to just take a tylenol pm and sleep through it. TOTALLY helped! No shame in sleeping it away girl. It'll pass soon enough and you'll get your life back. PROMISE!

pps- doing the sites in my stomach was much less painful than my leg (just steer clear of the very middle line of your belly and the very outer edges because that is much more tender skin.

Laura...I know it's miserable! I was sick almost my whole pregancy. The last six weeks I felt great! lol It's a good sign, though that your babies will be healthy (that's what my OB kept telling me anyways, and she ended up being right)... I made it to week 38 with no sign of labor, and they only came out since I had a scheduled C-section! I think they were perfectly happy staying in there for longer, but I was MORE than ready to get them OUT!! lol Anyways, you are in my prayers, and I will send you some websites. Hang in there...lots of love and good thoughts sent your way!

Oh Laura, your going to do so great and can'h think of a better mom then you who could take on this challange! I thought it was hard having twins with just one 2 yr old at home but you will have 3 others there, wow! I am sure that Sophia will be such a good helper now that she is older, and the other 2 will follow in her example. Hang in there. Also great magazine/ Twins, and great book/ Twins! pregnancy and the first year. I mostley just read it while I was prego, it was interesting.
Good luck girl!

Wow! In theory, I think twins would be such a neat addition to our family. In practice, I realize it's crazy to be hoping for two at once. We wish you all the best as you try to keep up with your family while you're feeling so sick.

As for adding videos to your blog...As you're writing your post, there is a bar at the top where you choose the font, add an image, etc. On the right of those options, there is a little filmstrip icon that says add video. If the file is small enough, this should work. If the file is too large the computer will say "uploading" forever (longer than 10 minutes) and you have to do it through youtube. Create a youtube account and upload a video. After the video has uploaded, there will be a long html code that has the word "embed" next to it. You copy that entire code and paste it into your blog post. When you "preview" your post you should see the video. Hope that helps.
