What the?!

I know. I can't believe it either. I'm posting again. I promise it's not the end of the world. Just had a lovely Crenshaw family reunion at Ocean Isle Beach, NC and feel compelled to show you some photos. Here they are.

I guess I'll start with the bad news. Lucy took a nosedive off the top bunk and landed eye socket first on the tile floor the first night we arrived. She got her first CT scan that night. She stayed overnight (with Travis) and was released the next afternoon. Diagnosis - closed skull fracture above her right eye and a stinkin huge black eye. It made her slightly more timid for the first few days, but she's doing great now.
See!
Travis with Alice and Penny.
Brother in law, Todd with his girls Lily and Claire. My sister Heather holding niece Abby's hand.
My brother John, his wife Amanda, and their daughter Abby.
My parents with their youngest 9 grandkids.
My sister Susy and her family, Todd, Lily, Claire, and baby (boy!) Oliver.
It's us! Holly, Penny (being held by) Me, Sophia, Travis (holding), Alice, and Lucy.
Lucy.
We had lots of fun things we did for the reunion and The Chabo's were in charge of a Road Rally/Scavenger Hunt. We decided to make it the 'Crensh-Olympic Games' and have people scavenge for items they would use in silly 'minute to win it' style Olympic competitions.
Sophia got a silver medal for her team in the 'Doodle Head' event.
We spent a day at Myrtle Beach at the Ripley's Aquarium and on the Boardwalk.
Holly with a very photogenic puffer fish.
Penny helping my niece Claire bury her feet.
Alice and Penny.
Lucy.
Todd with Lily and Oliver.
The evening we got there (pre-nosedive) we went out on the beach. Penny loved it!
Sophia.
My brother, John, and brother in law, Mark looking thoughtfully at the surf.
This was Holly's first time seeing the ocean since she was 1.
My Dad with Penny and Alice.
Alice. We LOVED it. Hated to leave. Wish we were still there...

Just Pictures

It's been forever. I make no excuses. So here's some photos of the Chabo's last 4 months. Babies asleep in shopping carts are cute. Aunts are awesome. We love the zoo. Nana, twins, and I went to visit my Grandma (95 years old!) and Uncle (not 95) in MO. Surprise trip with hubby to Niagara Falls. Holly's preschool graduation with her 'husband' (she tells me so, anyway), Julian. Dance recital. The End.

So, I guess I'm bad at this.

I have failed in by blogging duties for the past several months. Sorry bout that. I noticed that it happened about the same time the twins started crawling/walking. So maybe that had something to do with it. Regardless, I made a plan this year to write in my journal more and I've had success with that, so maybe now I can add blogging more to the plan. We'll see. Since I'm sick in bed today I have some time, so here's a little photographic catch up of the Chabo's life since August.

Holly started Preschool.

Sophia, Holly, and Lucy started dance classes.
We took a week and went to NC.
Tried to take cute pictures of cousins in the bath together and all we got was this...
...and this...
...and this.
The girls had fun making headbands with Aunt Heather.
Tickling Uncle Mark.
Getting their faces painted.
And visiting with all their Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Grandparents that were there.
In October we took a hayride to a pick your own pumpkin patch and got pumpkins.
Took photos of Alice and Penny in their 'Big Sister', 'Little Sister' shirts.
Went to a Halloween party.
And trick or treated with friends.
Alice learned to walk.
Lucy had a birthday.
Travis had a birthday.
We went back to NC for Thanksgiving and make a Thankful Tree with the Crenshaw side of the family.
Here's a sample of some of the leaves.

We got a picture of all the Crenshaw cousins that were there.
And too soon we had to say goodbye.
We came back home and Alice and Penny turned 1!
And then it was Christmas!
Nana and Papaw came!
And the girls opened lots of presents!
Then we drank Cocoa and went to church.
When we came home we opened even MORE presents!
And we ate lots of candy.

Well, that's all for now. Love ya!
